Paul O'Callaghan (Chair)

Paul's interest in becoming an FNF trustee stems from two periods in the family courts. 2009 and again in 2018, when he realised the 'system' had not improved at all considering the change in age of his daughter. The Courts and Cafcass had only worsened. What is more, the co-parenting support groups had very fragmented and begun competing with each other. The fragmentation of such groups has allowed single-interest groups to dominate the agenda of shared parenting.

Emlyn Jones (Vice Chair)

Emlyn was persuaded to stand as an FNF trustee for two main reasons. He has a deep sympathy for parents, who have been deprived of having contact with their children through no major fault of their own, and believes that FNF can do a lot more as regards promoting the charity and want to be involved in the decision making process.

Oleg Schkoda

I am proud to contribute to this charity which I believe is providing a much needed service in the UK. Sadly, the legal system in the UK has been biased towards the mothers and despite global influence of family models, the UK is still not considering in cases of separations that the shared parenting of 50/50 between Mothers and Fathers is not the default position.

Through my own direct experience and supporting other parents I have seen the damage acrimonious breakdowns can cause children, parents and extended family.

Sergio Martinez

Since becoming a father and successfully navigating the Family Law courts with support from Families Need Fathers, I have become increasingly involved in FNF.  Becoming a father changed my life perspective and shifted my attention to parenting related issues. My experience with the Family Law court, in regard to our child’s welfare, intensified, exponentially, the effort I put into my commitment of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
